At Double D’s Deli & More, we believe that it’s not just food, it’s family. They say that the heart of the home is in the kitchen, and at Double D’s, that couldn’t be more true; our food is prepared with painstaking precision and expert care because we care what our customers are eating. Every recipe prepared at Double D’s polish food is made in-house from scratch and has been passed down through generations of family. We like to believe that our customers can taste the difference! What began as a single barbeque smoker in 2013 became a full-fledged brick-and-mortar in 2015, and has steadily grown since then. At our place, we treat our customers like family, because that’s what it’s all about. When you come to Double D’s, you aren’t just getting a meal; you’re getting a family dinner experience, with food made with love.
The History of our Polish Food

Double D’s has a long history of food behind its humble beginnings. Our family-owned a potato farm in Long Island dating back decades. Our Polish family has shared their recipes and passed them down for generations, all of which we keep in our little recipe book. Over the years, we have perfected many of those recipes, and we continue to expand our repertoire.
We eventually decided to chase our love of barbeque and beer, setting up the original Double D’s BBQ. Dave and his father, who was given a small percentage of the business, decided that they would make their restaurant dream a reality. Over time, they handcrafted new recipes, sauces, rubs, and more for the beloved restaurant.
After a time of barbecuing, however, we felt that something was missing. While we love and enjoy barbeque, we decided it was time to go back to our roots. Through trial and error and a whole lot of food tasting, we’ve come up with Double D’s Deli & More, where our customers can enjoy our iconic house-made pastrami, corned beef, pickles, kielbasa, and more. And yes, we still do barbeque on the weekends!
Though we have certainly had our fair share of trials and tribulations, Double D’s has continued to grow against all odds. We like to believe that it’s all thanks to our loyal customers who we consider part of the family. When all should have failed, our community kept us afloat, and we are eternally grateful for all the love and support we have gained throughout the years.

Did you know that every one of our menu items is made in-house? The recipes were passed down from Dave’s grandma to him, and over the years, he has perfected them. Our almost-famous garlic dill pickles, for example, take up to nine days to make perfect! Our corned beef is brined for seven days to bring out its iconic, juicy flavor. With a focus on Polish-style deli food and weekend barbeque, we are excited to offer classic staples made to perfection as well as new and exciting options. From grandma’s famous pickles and pastrami to our classic and beloved tender meats, we are proud of each of our menu items. Everything we make has a history behind it and is made with care. We use fresh, flavorful ingredients in all of our dishes, from crunchy carrots and succulent beef to fresh-baked bread and tangy pickles. Co-owner and founder, Dave has been in the food industry for years, with roots in Polish cuisine and a mention in succulent barbeque meals. Raised on a Polish potato farm in Long Island, Dave has always been surrounded by food and family. Dave believes in serving up excellent meals to his customers.
Always welcoming with a friendly smile, Wendy helps Dave run Double D’s with a passion for customer-oriented experience. Wendy sees every customer as a family member and is always looking for new and exciting ways to make them feel at home. Wendy has been with Dave from the beginning, and together, they have raised Double D’s from the ground up.
Wendy and Dave aren’t just restaurant owners; they’re also full-time parents. Their three daughters love to help out around the restaurant in any way that they can, from helping with service to having a hand in the kitchen. Double D’s is based around family first, and Dave and Wendy’s family is no different!
